Opinions on Reasonably Priced Aftermarket Automatic Shifters

I have, and have used/raced with both the b&m ratchet, and the turbo action. I can recommend both, but both are now a lot more money than when i bought them. I think i paid $250 for the t/a and $200 each for two b&m ratchets. The b&m are now $330 and the t/a is $430.
That is why i was surprised to see the Winters in the summit catalog for $220. It is essentially the same shifter as the t/a but includes a cover that is an optional extra on the t/a. Both are absolutely bulletproof, will live 20 years (winters have been around for at least 50 years). It is NOT a small shifter, but if you want rugged and have the room.......

But dang, that z-gate at eighty bucks is hard to beat!
