Hey everyone,
Gathering parts for my magnum 360 and found a street avenger 670 carb for $100. I’m wondering if it would be a good partnering. I will have an edelbrock air gap, Dougs headers, a Hughes cam SB HYD RLR CAM 214/218 -110ºLSA, and stock heads. Any advice would be great. It’s my first engine build. Thanks.

That carb would work fine for you. Sounds like it's priced right. There are carbs I'd rather have, but that would work good. I have one now on a 360 magnum/eddy air gap. My cam was very close to yours.

Forgot to mention I’m going to use a 904, maybe that doesn’t matter. The owner says it’s a 650 so I am waiting to see a model number because I think there wasn’t a 650 made but 670.

they made a 650... get us the model number. either should work fine.

The Street Avenger is one of the worst carbs Holley ever built. Google flaking zinc coating. I would look for something different.
Good luck !

Be prepared to tune the idle circuit. They are VERY lean from the factory. I tried a 670 SA on my mild 340, and could not tune out a lean stumble without drilling and tapping the IFR's. They are NOT a hotrod carburetor IMO.

What carburetor would everyone recommend with the setup I mentioned previously in case I am still searching? I bought it but could sell it if need be.

Nothing wrong with what you have if you just tune it up a bit. Plus, you’ll learn along the way, and that’s always good.

I'm partial to Holleys. A 4777, 4779, 3310, or 1850 (or equivalent for either one) would all be on my list before the 670 SA. Just my worthless 2 cents.
