Fishy it is, a barracuda and a brief mention of a porpoise too;

"Sell me, sell you" the porpoise said......

You know SS64 you are a brother from another Era.
That Rock is timeless. It's funny to live thru things in that time and look back from times like now and have hope that we will make the right moves, fingers crossed.

Thanks for the good cover of Barracuda.

Was curious if the song that came out in 1977 was about the Barracuda Car or the Barracuda Fish ?

Sounds like the song Barracuda was written about her Dirty Music Producer and his Lies.

Here are some of the lyrics to the song Barracuda, it all makes sense now about the creation of the song.

Ann is the lead singer, although Nancy has sung a few- notably "These Dreams".

The term "barracuda" used to be used to describe a vicious female. I believe the Daron character used it several times in Bewitched, to describe the mother in law, Endora.

The song is about "selling a song" as the lyrics clearly state.

What I get from the lyrics is the Wilson sisters felt like they (porpoise) were the prey of the dirty record producers (barracudas).

When the record producers tried to ambush them, they wanted to swin deep to the safety of the depth, and keep swimming, swimming away.

Kind of a senario of the Barracudas stalking their prey the Porpoises.

After listening to this song for 43 years, finally found out what the real meaning of the song is here now in this year 2020.

Thanks for posting up the video, lots of good memories . . .

A great cover by The Lexington Lab Band.

toolmanmike, you are an evil person! I watched the video. Excellent stuff. Then I had to go to UTube to see if they did Magic Man. Yup..... And Fleetwood Mac, and Floyd and others. Though they couldn't match up with Australian Pink Floyd. Which lead to Zep, which reminded me of concert that Heart did as a tribute to Led Zeplin at the Kennedy Center some years ago. It was an event that was somewhat emotional. I had to watch it again. Seeing Ann belt out Stairway while the Prez, Michelle, Letterman, and other celebrities along with Plant, Page, and Jonesy [all dressed to the hilt] made for some top notch entertainment. Plus Jason on the drums.
So after watching some old Bonham, Buddy Rich, and Peart and seeing the dawn arrive, and knowing that I'll probably fall for your tricks again, I'd like to say thanks [with reservation].

I’ll have to dig out some photos of my old 67 Super Gas Barracuda. The local track here in Lakeland ( now closed) use to play that song when I would pull into the burn out box.

All this old stuff is timeless, always reminds me of simpler times. Makes me wonder what happened to the friends i hung out with back then in the 70’s. I was a kid when all this great stuff started to rise to the top,and boston was so popular, nazareth zepplin and all the others were just so good!

Sorry but I just dont care for covers just like original. May as well be the original. Something like this does more for me...
