My son in Colorado is picking up a 727 transmission today and may look at a.030 (360) shortblock. I told him I will port him a set of Speedmaster heads if we get a set on sale. Maybe look into that intake manifold too so I can match that up for him.

it's funny you say that because when I think about that intake manifold I think about doing a magnum swap for my son in Colorado LOL...
This is killing me being this far away. The guy wanted 300.00 for a rusty looking 727 that he showed me on FaceTime. I said heck no and the guy sold it to him for 100.00. He did get a new Hughes converter that lists for 430.00 on Jegs for 100.00 and an engine stand for 25.00.

Has anyone actually run the Speedmaster manifold? Does anyone have any time slips or dyno runs?
From what I've seen, the ports are small (318 sized). So if you're a capable porter, it should be a decent setup once worked over.

Yes I've seen heads and intake manifolds on this site for sale at a marked up price from the sale price on Speedmaster. I'll just wait for Speedmaster to have a sale again...

I have been running the Speedmaster intake manifold (and heads) on the Dart this year. I made too many changes for the time slips to be useful. My best guess the intake is a rough equivalent to the Performer RPM I replaced. I do however, no longer have issues with fuel boiling in the carb on hot days. That alone made the swap worth it.

When you can get fully assembled ready to run out of the box aluminum heads for seven or eight hundred dollars sent to your front door there's reason for alarm....It's just Speedmaster, I see no need to sound the alarm. lol
When you can buy intake manifolds for $135 and then wait a few months and sell them for 185 plus shipping that's a good deal or when you can buy heads for $700 and sell them for a thousand plus shipping a few months later that's even a better deal.... I've seen it done all this last year on this forum...

If they do a similar Black Friday deal this year, I will buy another set for future use on my Barracuda.
Done. Need to sort out a fuel issue, I've got +30% added across the board to get the afr where it needs to be, pressure is good, might move up one base map.
