I get that. It’s still a DOT tire, not a radial slick.

i run a DOT Hoosier drag radial.
It has two tiny grooves in it. Its a friggin drag slick, no matter what they call it. Most all these tires are a “ slick” they just have a groove or design, etc in them.
They act, at the track, no different than a slick.
I think what you are implying is that, geez, its a DOT tire, so that makes the OP’s times more fantastic( and btw, that is fantastic and the car runs great)
But you could could put a Goodyear bias slick on the car and it would slow down.
Nothing “ DOT” really, about these radials. They are a drag tire, with zero loss of ET over anything
