Lets agree to disagree.
My hoosier DOT drag radials are getting replaced this week.
They no longer Have the two grooves on them. They look and act like any slick i have ever had. Except they are radial construction, not bias ply.
They, and all the others, with just a couple of exceptions, are all race tires. No matter how they are marketed.
I wouldn't drive in the rain with my drag radials, even if new, for all the tea in China

I also run Hoosier drag radials (my 2 grooves are gone now)...they hook just like a slick. The DOT thing is just so they can be used for races that require a DOT approved tire. Right after the DOT stamp is says "not for street use".
