If that old gasket is hard, your probably out of luck. Swap to a 68 up gasket, install the clips and a piece of 68-76 A body lower cowl windshield stainless trim. Same piece will work off any 68-76 2 door or 4 door except duster and demon.

Thanks, I'll try that if I can't make the new one I bought for a 67 doesn't work.
I was thinking my heat gun might help
