Am looking for a picture of the correct transmission kick down lever for the 904 running a 4bbl. I believe they are shorter and indexed differently. I changed my gearing and carb recently and cant get the geometry I need to get proper part throttle shifts without top rod too long and limiting the throttle opening. When I adjust for full throttle, full kick down WOT, shifting is great but low speed is way to soon and no kick down operation. I have seen reproduction levers but thought I would go to tranny shop first and search their stash of stuff first.

How about a photo of what you have now.

There is a unique kick down lever for 4bbl vs. 2bbl

I fighting this myself. I'm about ready to say the heck with it and go with a Lokar.:BangHead:

Ill try to get a pic tomorrow. I am running three piece linkage still using 2BBL top rod 4BBL bracket original trans lever.

In the top photo, the 2bbl kickdown rod is on the left. It’s a 1406 carb with 4bbl throttle bracket and carb bracket for a Mopar. Also needed to adjust slightly the kickdown lever down beside the transmission.

If you look in the parts book it lists the part numbers for the assys

I don't recall if the manifold to trans assy is 4bbl unique

I have the 2BBL top rod extended and slot blocked with screw to extend length. Geometry isn't too bad with the holy carb not being as wide as the carter but I am looking for the correct piece. If anybody has one I would be interested. My transmission lever is defiantly not correct for a 340 application so I will try to find the correct lever also. It doesn't look
like I am getting a 1 to 1 ratio of travel but I will measure tommorow.
