What is the details?
Basically the BPC4085ctc....as a shortblock.

Forged pistons
Steel crank

I will post a thread when it's ready.
I don't wanna hijack too much! 12many has a chest freezer on wheels running 11's. That's beyond badass!!

Sounds pretty cool! Will it be able to run LA style heads?

Trickflows or allegidly the speedmasters.
Or edelbrock magnum.
They won't easily take iron, or edelbrock LA heads. Due to lack of block oiling....unfortunately.

Ok, basically have to run a rocker arm that will oil through the pushrod?

And where are you on that drilling the block for oiling La heads question..?. That and pop the right cam in there and at Universal.. might be a selling point as well to your upper command that it could be used in a broader Spectrum..
Spitballing here of course LOL..
Also agreed and 11 second refrigerator is awesome! I love it!!..

PRI is this week. Lots of roundtable discussion. Gimme a min lol

12many, What all did you change in the last year?
Swapped out a pretty well sorted Street Demon 750 in late march for an AED 750 DP, learned how to tune the various circuits, then swapped out a worked over Weiand Action+ for a ootb Edel Air Gap and then a little more tweaking on the carb. Took awhile learning the DP and trial and erroring. Also got it through my thick skull that launching off idle is the ticket. Any other method and no good.

Damn, 11's in a 'Airtemp' refrigerator.
I can only imagine what I could be running in say, a 67-69 Cuda (on my wish list), or similar more aero car. I folded in my west coast Jr mirrors for one run just to see what it'd do. 11.75@112....but that's cheating!

Finally got it up..... Felt the front end top out and the steering got very very light and had my best 60’, 330’, 1/8 mile ET and MPH at this particular track that seems to always have a cross/head wind. Consistent 66 degree, 10+/- mph winds, 50+/- % humidity all day. Put the van on a diet losing about 300 lbs compared to last year and installed front and rear QA1 DA shocks. Looking forward to late fall cooler temps to run some end of the season 1/4 mile runs at The Rock and see what my years tinkering yields! Hoping to crack into the 7.30’s (1/8) 11.6’s (1/4) Blueprint short block showing no signs of fatigue, aging, noises etc. All good!

What does it weigh now?

In 1976 at 19 years old and a PFC in the Army my first overseas tour was Heidelberg Germany. It was at Telephone Operations as an installer for the major command centers. I had a OD Green 1969 Dodge A100 318 3 on the tree. It was an empty shell except 1 steel shelf rack and a 6 foot step ladder inside.
Every morning I had to load up with telephones and my tools and drive 9 miles to a smaller city telephone exchange to work. About once a week some old German man in a BMW or Merc would try to pass me at a stoplight when the road Y'ed down to 1 lane. The German RED light went from RED to RED/YELLOW then Green so that was like a 'Pro Tree' timing light. That Dodge van never lost. It was not USA fast but it was faster than those 1960-1970's BMW's.

Last run for the year, temps near 60 had best 330’, 1/8 mile and a solid 11.75 in the 1/4 (no tailwind aids!) A 7.38 in the 1/8= goal met, didn’t really have a chance to try and break into the 11.6’s in the 1/4 which I was confident was in it but as there was a large turnout, multiple delays from fluids on the starting line (one oiled the entire left lane= 1-1/2 hr cleanup delay) next run I did was 3-1/2 hrs later, my tires slipped at launch obviously finding some residual fluids they missed! Packed it in as the line was too long to make another. About all I’m gonna get out of it as is. Pile of goodies at the ready though: TF heads, bigger solid cam, intake, converter, etc. 110+/-mph is all it’s got in it now and I want to see 115-117, hope my plans will get me there. The shop is calling:lol:
