Been kinda in the gutter all day but thanks to all you guys makes me fell better and makes me want to get it done.
Thanks guys.

From past experience, the 904 is about the easiest automatic transmission on the planet to rebuild. 727 is very similar.
I have done only a few. There are guys here that are way smarter with this stuff than me.

Never had any tranny apart but looks like with all the good help here I'll learn.

Fred, we go to Minot a couple of times a year. My sister lives just north of the border in Manitoba. Kim
I live in Bisbee in town south of Rolla. You ever get down by me stop in please.
My son lives in Minot I go there a lot so one way or the other would like to meet up.

Blue circle that be me...

So If I have to take my tranny apart I should go with a complete rebuild kit I'm guessing and while I'm at it would a manual valve body be the way to go, and what type of rebuild kit should I buy.
Remember was rebuilt around 5,000 miles ago but I am pushing 470 HP and 500 ft. lbs. of torque now but not putting on slicks and drag racing it just a road car to play with.
Glad you guys are here to help me figure this out. Thanks...

If I knew I'd be putting more HP to my car I would have done that in the beginning.
Thanks Kersplat.
plan B syndrome, i have it for sure.
step 1: do body work and paint car because it' a cool driver and i'm going to build the other car
step 2: sell other car and decide to do it all to the freshly painted one
