What YR said. I’m not in agreement with time passing, but it does. People that love these are (for the most part) are in their 50s or older. Younger enthusiasts have been buying Gen3 daily driver musclecars for more than 10 years now. They look at the old v8s as cool but nothing to build or drive every day. The market has shrunk dramatically over those same ten years. So if I’m getting into racing I’m building **** I can get and people recognize. Not to mention a good head on a big block is 300+ cfm. That’s an average head on a gen3. It’s less money, after the initial buy in, to get faster.

Yes, the cfm achievable on the Gen3 is crazy. The 2
`12 on up(Eagle head) will go 330cfm without much work. Pretty darn good for something you can find in a wrecking yard. The Apache heads are over 350.
I agree with YR, Fiat gave us the finger. No blocks. If it weren't for the aftermarket it would be impossible to build anything LA.
Once parts come more available for the Gen3 hemi, and costs come down, we're going to see a lot more of them.
