I purchased my 71 Rallye bezel from Classic Industries. They're a bit pricey.

If you haven't already, take a hole saw and make a 1-1/2" hole in the inner fender directly over #6, and put a metal plug in it. Makes changing it a whole lot less painful!

Why plug it , will let a little engine bay heat out .

Are they raised port ? I f so , I feel ur pain !
I even put a hole in for # 5----raised port/2'' tti headers/forward j-bar struts in the way .

I doubt that 2 square inches of hole is going to vent much heat even if it weren't located at a right angle... :rolleyes:

More importantly, I drive on the street (including 2.5 miles of dirt roads to get to the highway) and dirt/water will come IN and get tossedby the tire on the #6 plug.
 
I have some parts coming in from Canada. These jokers are a bit pricey. 360.00 with shipping included for front side marker light bezels and front and rear side marker light lenses. But most everyone's prices were close. Some didn't even have them in stock. I've been waiting for quite sometime for Classic Industries to get them in stock. Got tired of waiting. Been waiting for several weeks. I was glad these guys had them in stock. 32.00 for shipping left me scratching my head for a minute.

Yes, a big block in an A-body makes working on them difficult at times but there's nothing like popping the hood and seeing a big block between the frame rails in an A- body.
 
enjoyed talking to you .Rear sidemarker lights red are the same used on roadrunner that's what I used 68 thru 70Try using quarter inch ratchet with 3/8 adapter and swivel head plug socket

I found that out. They don't list a 71 Dodge Demon specific rear lense. I knew they were the same as a Duster. Still a little pricey.

I have had nothing get in the engine bay , and yes mine is a limited street n strip car, I dont run the splash gaurds either .
Anything that will let heat out is favorable to me , I even have 7 louver chrome vents about 14'' long on each side of my 6 pack scoop , the engine bay heat is slowly melting them , but they will get replaced w/ s/steel vents when they get bad enough.---no dirt for mine !

agreed, i've run a few cars with flip fronts and no inner fenders at all as daily drivers (all year round). you get some small stones on your inlet driving through bigger puddles but never had any running issues. i'm confident in saying a 2" hole for plug access would not give misfiring issues :thumbsup:

Looking to order new tail light lenses when someone gets them in stock. Going to cost over 400 dollars for a new pair. Previous owner of my Demon ruined the tail light lenses by drilling them and putting in blue dots.

couldn't you carefully cut out that lens and glue in one from another secondhand (maybe damaged) cluster? i've done it before, if you're careful and creep up on the trimming to size you can't tell it's been done.

I probably could. But I'd have to find another tail light lense somewhere. Then try to buff and polish them out. I'll just save time and the trouble with ordering a new pair that look good and ready to go. If someone wants this pair I have that has the blue dots I'll let them go at a reasonable price.

True. 400 bucks for two tail light lenses is a bit pricey, but heck, I paid 600 bucks for a Rallye dash bezel and the part of it that attaches to the glove box
I guess they think if you're fixing up a car that you must be made of money and will pay what they ask for it.
