Hello FABO came to join in the fun in search of parts and knowledge I have a 1968 Dart that I'm in the process of putting in a 440 after I open up the top end and let it breath
Not a total novice but others would do well to direct their questions elsewhere.lol but I'll figure it out sooner or later but to me that's the fun of it...

Welcome from North Dakota!! Any chance you could show us some pictures of your 68? we like pictures.

Welcome from NJ!

Thanks very much for making me feel welcome I certainly appreciate it....ok fella's here go's with my first stupid question.lol I have a fella that's willing to sell me a complete change over set up for the front end for a great price drum's to disk here's my question as you know 68 Dart is a non power brakes so will the brakes still work well with just my leg instead of power assist meaning the fluid volume is the same theoretically to run a caliper well bled if it's power or not correct?

You will need a master cylinder for disc brakes, no booster required. The disc brake master has a larger piston to move a greater volume of fluid. you would be well advised to also change the proportioning valve IIRC.

First, welcome!
Also, just a note here. I am in the process of doing the same and have come to the conclusion that you will be hard pressed to install a power brake booster with the 440.
There may be a setup I am not aware of, however after many hours trying to get it to work, I think just the MC is sufficient.

I have a numbers matching Formula S 383, 4 speed, convertible. Discs were an option. Power discs NO. But, I never had a problem stopping it with drums. Since mine is an all original, relatively rare car, I won't switch over. But, if I were building a big block car I would consider it, you don't need the power part.
