It could take time before leaking. Some long hot rides, or laps down the track could do it. I had all sorts of issues, tried with and without sealer.
I finally went with no gasket at all. I just used permatex "The Right Stuff". I ripped down the 1/4 mile track 7 times in 2 hours. The motor got pretty hot....and no leaks from the T-housing.
I do have an aluminum intake and crap chrome T housing as well.
I'm just a big fan of this gasket maker. I use it on everything now and so far its been excellent.
It comes in an aerosol can that looks like cheez wiz container.
