Wix oil filters

Sorry, if this is the wrong location to post. I tried to search for the original posting I saw a couple weeks back, but had no luck.
Anyway, just wanted to follow up on the post about "Filter1". I ordered a half dozen 51515's and half dozen 57899's, less than $6 each, free shipping because of the quantity. Arrived in great shape in about a week. Looks like the real deal, very satisfied with the purchase.
 
The only thing, and never happend but this one time, but a warning, keep in mind WIx is a great filter, this won't keep me from getting them. Anyway I had the rubber seal separate from the old filter and stay on the car and if you happen to not pay attention could put new filter on and not notice. I always clean the mating metal surface first so it fell off, I finished cleaning applied thin layer on new filter seal and installed.

That can happen with any filter, they are not glued on to the filter. Just FYI

That usually happens because the gasket wasn't lubed and stuck it self to the housing.

Had a buddy get a new engine in his ram due to that little magic trick.!!

Its hard to not buy filters and wiper blades by the dozen on rock auto. You can usually even trace the closeout stuff (literally$1 oil filters) back to the fact they are made by wix or champion labs. Got a whole box of wix produced napa filters for like $9 once
