You can include a pretty model pointing to the engine in the photo, but not really necessary (lol).

My first thread ended up inconclusive, so one more try. Will the red oil pan on the red 318 fit in my '65 Barracuda Formula S? The distance from the sump to the front of the oil pan rail is about 3 5/8". Anyone have a photo of an assembled motor showing the factory distance of this spacing on a '65 year/model? Thank you.

The previously installed oil pan (blue in photo) had more sump set back which measures about 4" or 4 1/4" inches. If I need 4" to clear the a-frame, then I could have interference trouble with only 3 5/8".

The blue pan does not have the relief for the center steering link, so I am trying to replace it with an oil pan that has the factory relief already built-in. (the rusty oil pan and the red oil pan are exactly the same model).

So, you have two of one kind of pan (red and rusty) and one of another type (the blue one), but, none of them are the stock pan for the '64-6 A-body? I can get you a photo of the correct pan, but, it's not on an engine. The ones I have on engines and in cars are too hard to photograph right now.

I may be in trouble too. I thought i checked and it would fit. Or maybe i didnt check. It may not have crossed my mind. I did buy a new one for my 76.

Not sure if this helps at all, just before I installed it, yes the bracket is on the wrong side!
