If the signal flasher is metal housing in a steel clip... that clip has a single tang poked through a hole in the side of the tray hanger. Remove the tray and you can see that tang. You could likely push the tang out with a small screw driver, flasher with steel clip falls out as far as wire and dash allows. When the flasher changed to light blue plastic, the plastic had a rectangular nub on top. The metal clip disappeared. They poked the nub through the hole where that tang was once in and rotated flasher 90 degrees to secure it. Edges of hole bites the plastic.
Easy to get to if you dont have a/c vent underneath. I've owned a-bodies both with and without a/c. Without a/c I can change the flasher by feel only. anyway...
The a/c vent was held by 2 nuts on studs. Deep well socket goes through holes up from bottom. One or two small phillips head screws hold the vent to the main case near floor also. Best to remove those first. I'm guessing yours is about the same.
