i started putting my new powerglide in weeks ago and between dragging my feet and Gout it took way longer than it should have. New used converter went in too so I can test this setup before I pull it all again to rebuild my 422 small block this winter. Hopefully it will run better than a 5.98 with a few upgrades next season. Still not sure about going with a roller cam or sticking with the solid lifter cam. I guess I’ll see what it looks like after 5 years of abuse.

Three day Halloween Race starts this Friday at Keystone

Just curious, what is the contraption your car is sitting on? And how did it get there?

That's a pretty clever gizmo, I like it.

At 64 years old it’s a lifesaver for me. Now I have the height to put my transmission on my Harbor Freight transmission jack and slide it under there. And I can also use a creeper.

I hear ya. We are of the same vintage, and I can't imagine doing without my 4-post. I got mine when I made my 27th trip updownupdownupdown one day when working on brakes on the floor. I got pissed and drove to the lift dealer the next day.

Gout is a form of arthritis.
I got it once in both great toes at the same time. Then it moved up up and up, and in six months I was ready to die. Then one day my wife said to me; "That's arthritis!"
Ok, so now that I had a name, I went to my prayer-closet and spoke the name of the risen Son of Almighty God over it, as patterned in the Bible.
Three days later the pain was gone.
Three weeks later I had all my strength back.
People ask me why it took so long? To which I say; when I get thru the Pearly Gate, you can bet that will be my first question.
That Name also got rid of my kidney stones. And healed my right leg. And has prevented the Generational curses in my Family-Tree from coming upon me. It gets rid of whatever attacks me, and most of the time does so instantly.
The Bible commands me to confess this name before men, else He will not confess my name before His Father. So here it is, the one that works for me;
Yahuwsha, which I pronounce Yaa-who'-shaa
IDK if just anybody can use it tho, so if it doesn't work for you; go find two Believers like me, have them anoint you with oil, lay hands on you, and pray for you. One thing I know is that you don't have to be a Believer for the miracle to happen. But when it happens, you'd be a fool not to become one.
The name Jesus is a transliteration from the Greek name for the Son, has no precedent of meaning anything. In Hebrew, the language Jesus was born into, names have meaning. Yahuwsha means "I am He who saves". His Father's name is in the Sons name and is
Yahuwha, and means "I am He who breathes life".
Together they are ; "I am and I am.
Give it a shot; what do you have to lose?
Oh, I know; ALL sickness, disease and infirmities; all of which are works of the evil ones.
Or you can just hang on to your gout while you eat/drink your pharmicia every day; a thing which Yahuwsha rails against.
I am 67 and in perfect health, thanks to the POWER in the name.

Ohhhh well that didn’t go as planned. Unloaded the Duster yesterday for my one and only time trial and ran a piss poor 6.33 with a go cart like 1.40 sixty foot. I could have sworn this converter was good and stalled at 5200-5400 rpm but when I checked the racepac it stalled at 4600 rpm. Dial a 6.33 and ran a 6.32 for the loss. I also have a bad transmission leak and was going to climb under it today but honestly my lights are so bad with this converter it would be a waste of entry money. Unless I get a burst of energy to climb under it to see if the leak is fixable my season is over. Matt made it down to seven cars last night in his buddies Chevy II running some 5.58’s.

Geez...................Well on a side note I THOUGHT I had the 14ft boat sold today. Two guys came out and after 'all that' I think they were just looking for an afternoon's entertainment. = waste of time.

Oh man John..... that’s sucks the fun out of a hobby real quick :(

Ya I was really looking forward to this race then heading to Quaker City in Ohio next week but ohh well. I’m not throwing that other converter back in. I really did want to see how the 1.80 low gear acted compared to the 1.98.

Sucks John, Hope you can figure something out to get your car working again. Best Wishes

Ya I have all winter now. I’m going to do a little work on my blue Duster now for a little change up. I haven’t touched this car since my daily driver was totaled by a distracted driver and I got a concussion June 23 last year.
