Hey guys. My car is apart for body and paint. My front core support was pretty trashed and the US CARTOOL. Piece looked perfect. 14ga construction, flat and clean looking. It also moves radiator forward 3/4” forward which is big for us big block guys. So I dropped the $500.

Here it is out of the box. It’s CNC laser cut and looked like a super high quality piece.

That’s the end of the good news. Every single bent flange is bent differently. Nothing fit properly. Not even close! I cut and adjusted every single flange.

Then I worked on lower brace.

Damn, makes you wonder if you got an A-body one. For the headache you could have just bought a sheet of 14 ga. and went to town with a plasma or hell even a jig saw. Work looks great. It's all time honored.

So what I'm seein is, you bought a brand new support, then, had to cut it all to pieces, make new pieces so it would be right. Is that accurate?

Mine went in without too much work. Took half a day or so to install it.

Maybe mine was poor quality control because it wasn’t going to fit no matter what I tried in stock form.

no truer words have been spoken.

That's just stupid. That means if you happen to be fabrication challenged, like myself, then you may be up the creek, so to speak. I hope you at least called and let them know. If not, you should.

We both know they are going to say every car is different blah blah blah

Looking at the part you started with and what you had to do I'd think you got a B or E body support. Of if they have a fixture that has multiple set up it might of not been set correctly.

That's the line I got from USCT when I called and questioned the fit of my core support.......I had to modify my torque boxes somewhat to make them fit nicely as well.
