What has FABO done for you?

I have owned something like 25 or 26 A body cars, 3 B bodies, 2 C bodies and only one E body Challenger.
I prefer the 67-69 Darts and the 70-74 Dusters in terms of A body cars. When I joined this site, I had a '74 Duster that I built to look like a '71 Duster 340. I didn't have any problems with the car that necessitated the help of members here.
I did go through some troubles with the 440/493 in my '70 Charger. I started many threads about the detonation issues I had. I posted about it everywhere...Here, Moparts, FBBO and DodgeCharger.com.
Rusty Rat Rod surely pulled many hairs out trying to help me with it. A BodyBomber did too. Lots of members here stepped in with suggestions. In the end, I went with thicker head gaskets and the knocking went away. There were equal amounts that liked or hated the idea but it did work for me. The amount of members here is fantastic. This forum moves pretty fast.
I have had mixed reception here though. Stuff that I have posted here has been deleted while the exact same stuff I also post at FBBO gets likes and acceptance from Moderators. People here often seem to L O V E to click the Red X. That isn't so common at FBBO. It could be that since I am not here as much, maybe the members haven't warmed up to my obnoxious demeanor like most have at FBBO.
The Moderators have a tough job that I'm guessing that few people appreciate. If things go smoothly, they get no credit. If someone gets banned, edited or scolded, the Mods get insulted. I don't see why anyone would want that responsibility but it is good that they are here.
The site has provided me with a FREE platform to sell a lot of stuff. From 2013-2015, I sold all sorts of stuff that helped me pay CASH for the Wife's new Challenger. Last year and this one, I've sold enough to aid the build of my "Jigsaw" 1970 Charger project car. I accumulated a fair amount of decent parts over the years from Pick-N-Pull yards and from buying out stashes of parts from guys in my area. I've shipped to Vermont, Canada, New Zealand and plenty of places in between. This forum is a fine example of what the internet can be: A place to bring people together that have common interests.
Forget facebook.....I have no tolerance for a site that edits or silences people that have a different opinion than the site owner. Joey's forums are a great source for information and camaraderie.
