If you still have the engine out - could you do me a favor - could you measure the distance from the bellhousing mounting surface of the block to the fingers on the pressure plate? I am trying to see if a stock flywheel / clutch set up will fit inside my bellhousing - I am currently running an aftermarket flywheel and clutch set up but would prefer the stock stuff

Assuming you are talking about the 6.4 engine. Not sure if you are aware, that the stock clutch is 11 inch. Never measured it, but that’s what I was told. Yes I can take those measurements for you. Will get them to you by tomorrow.

Here are the measurement you ask for, I got 5 and a quarter inches from mounting surface to the most outer surface of the fingers. Hope this helps.

Remove the pilot bearing from the crank shaft of my 6.4 hemi, to replace it with one for the tko 600. Not sure which way the new one goes back in. Here’s pictures of new bearing and old one I removed. Hopefully someone here has used this type before,and can point me in the right direction.

Been working on the dash, had to customize it to fit Dakota gauge cluster alpine head unit with back up camera, and fosgate tweeters. Stuck with original heater controls, just reconfigured them. Is just painted in primer for now.

Car’s coming along nice….not that I tell people what to do with their own car, and depending on how much sound means to you. That’s not the best placement for the tweeters! It will be ok for the driver although the tweeters will be very centered while the mids will be much wider. Both left & right highs for the passenger will all come from their left. For mine I made covers for the A pillars that will have pods just above the dash frame for the tweeters, mids will be in the scuttle trims and are to have sealed enclosures built between the scuttle trim backing and the guard. Look’s like you’re getting close with everything else!

Yes I know this isn’t the best location for sound, but am mostly concerned about me the driver. Thought it would also look cool in the dash. If this was my daily driver I would have located them in different locations. Thanks for the input. Where would you locate the front 5 1/2, i was thinking about mounting them on either side of the Center console? Slightly facing the rear of the car. Not sure if that a good idea or not. Also will have 6 by 9 in the back, and a 12 inch sub In the spare tire well.

The trouble with mounting in the sides of the console is you don't hear the sound in stereo, yes it will make noise but that about it. The first couple of images shows what I'm doing to mine, but I'm in an earlier stage of rebuild than you! Next are pods I make for those who don't want to cut the car up. A little in the way, but not too bad! At least with something like this you have your main drivers as wide as possible and solidly mounted. 6X9's in a heavy parcel tray with a sub will give you plenty of bass.

those images maybe a little confusing, they are one or the other, the pod with the speaker in it is a free standing item that doesn't require the car to be cut so can be retro fitted. The others are what I'll soon be doing for mine and require cutting a section out of the car!

Ok I get it now. The free standing ones might work in my application. Only problem I install my new fuse panel in the area on the drivers side.
At least the wires are different colors. Years ago I drove big truck. The passenger's side mirror motor quit on the Freightliner. I wrote it up for repairs, several times. One day in the lot the mechanic flagged me down. He asked me to look up under the dash. "How many different wire colors do you see?" he asked. I saw only white wires. I decided (because I'm such a nice person) to live with the broken mirror motor.

This is one slick build. Love the subtle shoulda been factory looking deck lid spoiler. I’m a sucker for nice metal work. It’s builds like this that keep me motivated to keep plugging away at my build. Simply awesome job.

Hey thanks for the compliments, seems my strong suit is metal working and electrical. Bought this car in boxes it was a roller, so I struggle with simple task of reassembling. Wanted to shrink the rear window, and put a modern challenger sun roof in, but was talked out of it. Nice that this motivates you, because your comments motivate me also. Good luck with your build.

Actually Denny the wiring was a lot easier then I thought it would be. Thanks to Ron Francis wiring, making a user friendly product, and good tech support. Get a little tricky tying into the modern computer.
