I bet it would work if you can get a connector.
Rock Auto has them, Standard # S 2317 but they are higher than the ones for fords. It looks like a kit....

We used the AC Delco coil off the Chevy TBI motor we stole the module off of, along with the harness!!
Switched 12V to the pink 10ga wire, connect the wires at the ballast resistor together, ground the module, done!!
