LOL I like that Yes there are dozens of threads about 318 cams. There would be a more direct answer it there weren't so many choices. It seems that everyone has tried a different cam and says it works with no real comparison to any other. That's all ok. What ever works for you might not be what I want or what works for me. Yes, "one step above stock" is a generic term and there's no magic cam or magic number that fits the description.
