8.75 durability for big block street/ Strip

Hey folks, I'm just curious is an 8.75 going to hold up to 600+ hp in a sub 3000 lb
a-body street strip car, or should I just grab a truck Dana 60, I'll narrow it & buy gears & axles or buy a strange 60 ?
Budget is leaning with my 8.75 & a crush sleeve eliminator and see what happens, I have a couple 489 cases & a 742.

I'm going to be selling the S60 out of my Duster. It will be complete with brakes, wheels and tires since I'm changing everything. You aren't too far from me so if you're interested drop me a PM.
