I know the local dealer around here has replaced more than 5 of the motors (the one I saw had 2 windows in the block due to bottom end failure). You would need to be driving long hauls to get the money back for the diesel cost. Having said that, my neighbour has a 2016 with zero issues. I would see what kind of warranty they could offer you.
