Old Yeller vs Drag Truck "2021"

I have been collecting parts for this for years. Engine will be a 414" small block based on a 340 block. Eagle forged 4"crank, Icon flattops, Scat h beam rods. I got very good deals on these parts.

I have a set of well used ProComp heads that I will be working on as soon as I order valves. These heads will not be ideal thanks to a previous owner, but I will do the best I can with them. I plan on a mild solid roller cam, and hopefully, my offy tunnel ram. I also have an old weiand xcelerator I could use, but really want the t-ram...

I need to get a set of rings on the way, and then I can balance it. I bought these once, but they ended up in another motor(not mine).

I really do not need many parts to be able to build the motor, and will be ordering stuff, hopefully next week with the $$$ I made selling parts on here the last few days...

I have an 8" PTC converter that I will try ( built for a similar weight/ cubic inch combo) If it is way off, I can send it in for a restall and still not have much money in it.

Rear will be 8 3/4 that is in it now, and I will be swapping gears back and forth. I would like to find a set of 4.10s or 4.30s to set up for it. I think that would be a good all around gear since I can use tall tires.

The overall goal is to have a fun truck to drive. It will not set the world on fire. I just want something I can have fun with, something that brings a smile to my face every time I start it. I plan on making changes to it after it is on the road, because that is what I enjoy doing.

I have had so much fun the last couple of weeks just getting some weight off of it. And, now that I have some parts money, I cannot wait to get started back on the motor.
If you get the truck to weigh around 3400 lbs, sounds like a 7.40 1/8 mile
