After racing at this race for 40 years or so I started saying 3-4 years ago I was done with it. My last race of the year I’ve seen 80 degree weather on day one and 20 on the last day. Sun, snow, ice, rain, and yes one year we had to leave the track for the evening because of tornadoes. I found myself every year sending in my money and going even when I knew physically or mentally I wasn’t ready for it. It changed to 1/8 mile racing several years ago (thank God) after I lost at 4am three years in a row. I’ve raced 5 different cars I’ve owned at this race over the years. With Norwalk closing for the whole 2020 race season of course I’m not there, but my heart is.
