Current engine combo:

360 .030 over
Scat 4" crank
11.3:1
Stock OOTB Edelbrock Perform RPM Heads
Victor 340 intake
1.6 rockers
Lunati Soild flat tappet cam:
.550/.571 lift
256/268 duration @50
Lobe Sep 106.

Current combo ran 7.0s in the 1/8th in a 3250lb duster shifting at 6,000.

If I were to just swap out the Edelbrock heads for the Trick Flow 190s how much HP should I expect to gain?

I guess I would answer your question with a question...why would you pay another 2k for another set of heads when you could just get the Edelbrocks ported for much less...and have the same or better performance?

To answer your question, I would bet it would put you in the 6.60-6.70 range.

Don't you have yo also get special Harland Sharp rockers for the TF heads if running on an LA?

I have Crane aluminum rockers on my TF heads,

your combo is pretty damn close to mine.. and you run the times mine runs with trickflows.. the difference is I race at a pretty consistent 7000+ ft DA... I agree with what was stated earlier, you just might hit that 6.70-6.60... Which is what i'm hoping for when I take the car to sea level.

It's so combo specific, but I would suspect OOTB vs OOTB the TF would be a benefit. I doubt that would be the best 2k spent for the gain. I would say 2 tenths minimum. You may get a little more.

No, those are for Magnums. But many people on the board are running rockers that oil through the pushrods, like the Comp Pro Magnums, on Magnum blocks with no issues.
I am using PRW billet rockers on my magnum with the trick flow heads. like you said with push rod oiling

How do you like them?
I hated them at first. Lol they was a ***** to get shimed up right. Not a lot of room with 3/8th push rods and trickflows oval push rod holes in the head. But a lot of that could of been the installers ( me) fault. But so far 12 7000 RPM passes latter, I havent had any problems yet. Also I am useing one of mikes at B3 racing rocker correction kits.

I dont think it's worth the swap unless money is no issue. More cost effective to add 50 or 75 or 100 shot

I dunno... it’s $10+ a Lb and 6+hr round trip to get nitrous where I am.

Depends on how much someone is gonna give it the squirt lol.... Truth be told it's the most logical way to make power for the average guy. No fancy heads, blah blah blah and with a decent combo you can get thrown out of a track for no bar on a Friday night..... I didn't know gas had went up that much. Gezzzzzz......

Not when your a weekly bracket racer...I could care less to go fast a pass or 2, I want to repeat it for several hundred runs.
Nitrous schmitrous...Nothing more impressive than someone doing it with “all motor”

Pssss psssss look at me. Summit sold me a kit that made me fast. Psssss
Psssssss. Completely not necessary at the et’s He wants to run. Take a little pride in doing it the old school way. Work.
