Did the hemi Cudas and darts have sub frame connectors? I’m at a point where I’m getting ready to paint and was wondering what the factory did on these higher hp cars?
---That looks great. Thank you for the info. Did you undercoat or just paint?
That looks really good Malex. Is that a Dart? It looks a little different than a Barracuda but virtually the same idea I used. I welded a piece of plate to to the front of my connector then plug welded the plate to the torsion bar cross-member . I saw one job where the guy left the vertical part of the frame on the outer part of the rail and welded his relocation to that.---
Epoxy prime, hi-build prime, sand and paint. If you use the 2 X 3 horizontal they just go through the floor board by about 1/4". Not noticeable when rug is in.

I built my own frame connectors and boxes. The connectors are 2 X 3 X .125 and I installed them with the 3” horizontally. A few pics to show.

Beautiful---
Yep this is my Dart. It's a winters time project. Winter #3 will be coming up here soon and I'll be back at it. The 2 X 3 laid in this way fit great.
In the picture below the 2X3 shows where it comes though. Only at the rear floor section.

The driveshaft hoop I did like you mentioned, a flat plate on each end and then plug welded.

Thanks! Been hacking and grinding a long time...
The shock mount area actually turned out pretty good too.

—-Very nice build. Anyone can have a Hemi. It just takes some a little longer than others. But totally doable. Don’t stop believing! God bless.

Curious, maybe they're longer than they seem, and it's probably due to the elephant ears rigidly securing the motor but those fuel lines appear to afford very little flex and as well over time will cut through anything. I like the coil location, very clean.—-
Ive been building cars for both myself and others for a long time. But I have a whole new respect for those who jam a hemi into an A body now that I’ve done one.
