What's your 2020/2021 Winter Project???

-
Winter? Is that the 6 days it's gonna rain more than .1", or the 6 days it might get below 50°?
Ha okay I'll be fabbing up some subframe connectors for my Satellite. Also been needing to get my TTI headers recoated so I'll probably do that at the same time.
And.... I've been sitting on the new terminals and other parts to completely re-hab my fuse box but I haven't had the motivation to lay under there and git 'er done...maybe this will be the year:rolleyes:

someone posted a pic of an "under dash" creeper
pretty slick, its basically the backboard of a regular creeper, but the one part is in the car, the other is on a milk crate or something
should make that project a whole lot easier

Kindly waiting on Brain at IMM to build the 408 short block for it. Solid roller with an old school B&M supercharger.

MY winter project? Making sure the coffee pot is in top condition, eating as much of my wife's good cooking as I can, and of course Old Yeller.
I thought you were doing weight reduction...

My quest for a 742 to set up with 4.30 gears continues. Hope to find a unit and get it set up this winter. Also, gotta replace my fuel sending unit and relocate the electric fuel pump. And hopefully patch a rotted spare wheel well. Plus about 672 other small miscellaneous things....

I am going to start on my 70 cuda drag car, I have it a few years now, and am going to do the following:
Put all the sheet-metal on the car, including the tubs and the rear tin-work.
Put brakes on the car, 4 wheel disks.
Change over to manual steering.
Install glass.
Install fuel system.
Install motor / trans.

I know I will not get all of it done, but anything is better than a junk collector, workbench its being used for now.

hmm. so just mount them on the car then lay the intake and drill tap and dye?

I have the loaner drilling jig for doing the heads. You do not want to do it on the engine unless you are taking it apart to rebuild it. There is a ton of metal chips and grundage from the drilling and taping.
But you need permission for me to ship them to you.

Actually if you have a 318 steel intake gasket you can use that to mark where to drill.

Make my 68 340 Cuda stop as well as it goes. 4 wheel disc brake conversion at least. Straighten out the wiring under the dash and get the fuel gauge working.

no way thats cool. whats it look like and does it take a while to do ?

those heads are used? how did they turn out for you? i heard even used with cracks they still do not effect performance in anyway. In fact i heard from the factory they had cracks while being made?

Yes used from a 5.2 engine core. Passed a pressure check, have been milled and are getting new springs to run on a .030 + 5.9 using an LA rotating assembly with a 380hp crate engine cam.
Hoping to make 4500 horse power on vinegar and dish soap mix.

Is that 4500 miniature horses??

No that is sea horses. The secret is in the dish soap.

That reminds me of the time at Red Lobster, My oldest son About 12 at the time, asked the waitress if he could get a plate of "Sea Monkeys". Remember those old ads?

Not a car thing but finalizing, I think I am there, for a load with my lightweight 338-06 using the Barnes 185 gr TSX. Mountain goat, elk and moose over 14 days in NE BC cancelled this year. Early next fall...

Getting the 69 Dart off the rotisserie (hopefully by Christmas) and back together in time for my son's prom. Anyone that wants to come help out, stop by and lend a hand.

Removing the bowl-blended iron heads from my 451 and putting on my PRH-massaged Speedmasters (293.5 cfm). Should add some decent mid and upper-range hp :)

I need to finally finish the motor for my Duster and get it in there! But the biggest project for this winter is my son's truck. Currently a bare frame and he turns 16 in May!
