Old Yeller

That old 4 door Valiant had a 10.5 compression 360 , MI dual plane, and I put several different cams over a few years. Mild to wild. The best all around was the old MP 274. It had 3.91s with sure grip, a reverse pattern 904 and a 9 1/2" converter. It was also our only transportation for several years. It replaced our 71 Demon when we were expecting our 3rd son. We did not think it would work out real well with 3 car seats in a 2 door.

My wife is actually the one who located the Valiant. She saw it in town after grocery shopping and followed it until it pulled into a driveway. She came home, I packed in the groceries, and we took off to see if it was for sale. Of course it wasn't, but I left my phone # with them.

A couple of weeks later I got a call, they wanted to sell it.

My oldest son now owns it, It is his only car. He has a lot better motor than I did....still 3.91s
that's cool how your son still owns it. My wife finds cars that get 13 mpg and then wants to take them across the country ..... . . .
