Anyone looking to do a GA meet and greet?

I sure wish I lived a little closer to you guys...I would have helped wrangle those shocks!!!

I'm glad you got them!!

The "better half" kept me busy around the house this weekend. :BangHead: LOL! We are approaching 5 years in our current home and that will be a record since I left home to join the Air Force at 21 years old. So...I hope this will be our forever home and we can make it ours instead of making it "sellable"!!

Me too!

I am whipped and two more shocks to go and the Watts Link kit! I Will power through somehow! Then rest and relax all of November! You don’t just jack up 41’ of large like our tiny fish’s.

Well, Kitty and I won't be able to make it yet again. First, we have too much month at the end of the money. We could work around that, but we've had a really close friend and church member pass away this morning. Although services are Saturday, there's a function at the church Sunday afternoon and we're going to that. Maybe next time.

Sorry to hear that Rob, best wishes to you and the family. Maybe we can push it to the right, I’m game for whatever the fine folks here want to do.

Anything after the 3rd would be better for us money wise. But man, losing Van is really depressing. He was a great old guy. One of the pillars of the church. He handled the chili cook off every year, just did all kinda things. He was even our egg man. lol At least there's plenty of family to keep his farm going. That was his life's work.

Very sorry to hear, Rob. Prayers for his family as they navigate through the days ahead. And... prayers to you and Kitty as you guys are there for his family.

I'm game for moving it to the 7th or 8th so we can meet/see Rob and Kitty I'll even drive the Barracuda if it's not raining!! I should have the rebuilt steering gear back (for the second time!).

Man that would be cool and all.....but I hate for yall to move it just cause of us. I'm game though.

It's a no-brainer for me. It's not a real FABO meet in middle Georgia without "Triple R"!!

I’m sorry to hear about your loss. If y’all want to push it back, that works for me. I’m terribly sorry to hear about that Rusty

I'm game if yall are. Any time after the 3rd, as that's when we get paid.

Sorry I am going to miss this. The car/truck and trailer are in the Ocala area. Had to change a trailer tire in Tifton on the way south after noticing the pretzel effect on fueling the Dually. Got lucky again and avoided a blow out! Last thing I needed was a tire blowing through the wheel well and damaging the car! Have 4 new tires and wheels coming this week to be delivered at my folks house and will change them on my return later this week, the Coach is ready and hope for an un-advent full drive south. Lord knows I need one!

Yeah, you are due for a break!!

On a positive, you'll have 4 brand new wheels and tires on your trailer!!

Yes that is positive and unexpectedly expensive. Bright side is after changing the tires on the original Four that were on it I will have 5 spares going forward, and will bring at least three with me on future trips! Amazon had the same 75MPH rated tires pre-mounted and were delivered today. Guess at $115 each not all that bad!

Kinda have forgot the trailer was bought in late 2014 and has made 2 trips to Ocala, 2 to Nashville, one to Mobile Al. and last year Carlisle! I81 to Carlisle was brutal! Never mind lots of local use helping move friends and such. Guess I should not have been surprised!

Has it been I-20W from Atlanta through Alabama yet? LMAO

No,

But to the East to Covington. I81 through Virginia and north was the worst.

Keep laughing, I understand! I have had a lot of tire issues. Lost 4 on one trip in the 5th wheel a few years ago. Fortunately I have always caught them at a fuel stop just before explosion. The Coach is the only exception, but was dumping tanks at a rest area on 75N when the RF blew completely off the wheel while idling! No changing a 22.5 by myself! Never mind having the tools handy to try!

Yeah, seems like the roads are getting worse and worse.

I've driven I-81 a thousand times. It's a terrible road. I grew up 30 miles from Carlisle. I knew about Chrysler's in Carlisle growing up but never went. It's on my bucket list though!!

Take care of those new tires!

My best friend Billy Peyton (RIP) took my son and I to Texas many years ago when I won a 67 Dart GT on Ebay. Of course we went I-20W. This was in like a 94 F350 4X4. I think our heads hit the headliner with every seam in the concrete. lol

Still sorry to miss this!

Coach drive south was awesome! Like a new motor home after all the effort on the front suspension.

Garlits show on Saturday/Sunday and new trailer tires going on in the morning!

Finally no tire issues on a drive and all smiles! cruise on 72mph and one handed drive most the way! I think the wife will finally be comfortable driving 41’ of beast down the road!

Do we have a new date on this yet?

Let's plan one for maximum participation. Would like to see Roy and Gerald make it.
