I ended up buying a Lokar cable.

I do have the room. The hole in my hood with the bracket scoop takes care of that.

I am familiar with the heat shield, but don't want one.

I get into fuel boiling problems only in quite hot weather (90ºs) and stop-n-go traffic with winter-blend fuel. Heat is not the issue I want to deal with in this thread..just the bracket.

I have the short OEM cable...17.5" or close to it. I can get an A-body OEM 21" cable. The cable isn't a problem if I have to get one. If someone used my setup and KNEW a longer cable was required, that would be good to know.

I`d just splice a piece in if you have a welder- grinder- metal.

That's not me. Besides my existing bracket is chrome-plated for quickness/speed/HP...so I don't want to mess with it.
