Hey all,

I picked up this engine disassembled and am now savoring the rebuild. I soaked the fasteners that came with it in cleaner over the last couple weeks and today got them out and finished cleaning them. And these showed up in the mix:

A scan through the service manual doesn't show what they are and I get the feeling I need them...

TIA

Those could be valve seats, but I would need better pictures to tell for sure...

Outside diameter is 1.118"
Inside diameter is .887"
Thickness is .123"
Height is .196"

And there are only 8 ea.

Rocker spacers would be a little sloppy @ .887 on a .875 shaft...right? 273 stocker are .310 wide for comparison. look too thick too IMHO

I said BB, Big Block rocker spacers .125 approx wide I have a ton of them.

They are BB rocker spacers.

I'm sticking with valve seats...

You can see the inside diameter chamfer in the first picture of post #4, but the last post there is no chamfer on the id of the part...

Those are valve seat inserts the you press in and then dress for the valve....

They are small valves .887 ID

That's rather curious as the heads have yet to be disassembled. And going through the hardware that came with the motor, all fasteners are accounted for and there are no other errant parts.

But. Thanks for the responses, gents. I shall proceed with assembly.
