we are moving the springs in and mimitubbing a 68 barracuda.i would like if possible to fit 33x18.5 tires in the rear even if they stuck out a bit.ive seen pics of cars back in the day with them opened up but was wondering if there was a tutorial of how its done.my lower front of the wheelwell has bondo and i have patch panels so ill be working in that area anyway.

It's going to take more than a mini tub. The factory wheel housing is only about 31 inches front to rear at the seam in the middle. If you are moving the inner against the frame with a spacer in the center, you still won't have enough room for a tire that tall.
And since the factory style wheel housing mounts to the quarter panel at the wheel opening, if you start increasing the diameter of the wheel opening, you will have to figure out a way to reconnect the pieces to seal it all up.

my 33s only measure 31 i dont mind them sticking out like this.obviously he has done some work to the wheel opening.

Have you moved the axle back yet. Do that first before having the quarters stretched. It's an expensive process and requires a very talented bodyman to do it and make it look right. You will pay through the nose for that modification.
