Hey all don’t know much about them but here goes
Sitting a few years Arizona
Couple bought it 10-20 years ago from what I think was orig owner.
Lots repair bills from local dealer
It’s a non RT 383 bucket seat column shift car with AC Engine is blue.
Carb number was 4732 I believe 1970 carb block cast number was 70 also didn’t check vin stamp on block yet
Not sure where to look.
Muffler has Chrysler emblem on it
Paperwork documents miles of 53k
Dash is cracked in two spots
Top rear seats are torn
Drivers door was repainted looks lighter color amd the rest is what looks to be Orig paint.

Asking 20k

Cool car, great colors.

The date code on the muffler is for the 273rd day of 1969, well within the 1970 model year.

Is that orig muffler?? Or repop
I found paperwork with the car that documents the miles to 53k so I guess maybe

Nice Challenger. Check the block vin if its correct for 20k you should already have it on your trailer. Is it an original California car or was the Chrome exhaust extensions an option?

Uhhhh, if you’re serious about buying that car, do it sooner rather than later. I’m not E body expert but that sounds to be a great deal for an E body in that shape. Original muffler? Who cares? Look at the rest of that car!

I had a set of Eagle ST tires on my Scamp in the mid 90’s and I think they stopped making them in the late 90’s or early 2000’s so those tires are a solid 20 years old.

Money talks and BS walks! If you want to offer $15000, then approach him with the money.

That is a great buy at that price, as others have stated, you can't buy a pail of rust from most E bodies for 20k, let alone 15 or even 18! Who cares if it's a column shift non R/T! Damned straight looking car, and far more were non R/T.

It's a 50 year old car, it's not going to be perfect. If you can document it as an original survivor, even better, 53k miles? Original mufflers?

I kick myself at least twice a day for selling my barracuda. It wasn't perfect by any stretch it needed alot of body work and interior work but it did run and drive. And I sold it for $3500 back in 2009. Now they are 20k for one like I posted above. Makes me sick. I always had the intention of buying another but I know that will probably never happen now.

Me it's been more missed opportunities than seller remorse, I passed on a black on black 1970 Challenger 318/904, column shift car when I was 17, and when I was around 22, a '70 R/T SE, triple black, 440/727 U code, actually it was more like couldn't put the cash together at the time, the 318 car was around $2500, and the U code was $4500 with a blown trans.
I do on occasion regret selling my 70 Dart Custom, but I do have a lot of great memories with it.

I believe the vin is on drivers side oil pan rail.......

Maybe in Australia they are, but here in the US you'll find the VIN stamp on the milled pad on the engine block just ABOVE the oil pan rail on the PASSENGER side of the car.
