Jim, can I ask a stupid question? Mopar V8s and the slant six have the same bolt pattern where they bolt to the block. Have you thought of swapping the arms from a V8 pump? It's not hard to do. Just a thought.

A V8 Carter? I just think that old pump looks cool and you can get rebuild kits.

Boy that is a pricey experiment :). You sure that works and will just any old arm off some modern pump work?

Not 100%.......I've not tried it myself, no. But the mounting pad is the SAME as the small and big block Chryslers, small and big block chevys and some Fords. They all use the same block off plate. The fuel pumps themselves should be the same. The arms are the only things that are different. So if the arms are swapped, just flip the V8 pump upside down and bolt it on. You might have to rotate the pump housing to get the inlet and outlet in the right place.

@Charrlie_S might know if this works. He's been at it a long time. I am almost 100% positive I've read about someone doing it and it worked. You could take an old standard small block pump and swap an slant arm on it and see. That way, you wouldn't be spending anything but time.
