Will add, the second shitbox for spare parts is usually more money than the first shitbox you bought to restore.

And then the original shitbox we got never gets done because there are too many other shitboxes taking our attention.

You start on the first shitbox, get the second **** box, find out the second is better than the first, what now? undo all the work on the first to put on the second, have two, or just finish the first? And look what I just found..........

@halfafish ....

I bought a real good chitbox in 1978. And put it on the back-burner.
In 1980ish I bought a second same chitbox to drive, while saving up to fix the first chitbox. Well the babies came, and I blew the engine up in the second chitbox in about 83. Fast forward to 1998, and the kids are more or less all growed up.
By now chitbox number 2 is seriously chitboxed, so I decide to freshen chitbox #1, and put all the chitbox #2 stuff into it, and freshen #1 up.
But as it usually is, I needed some better chitbox parts that neither of these chitboxs had, so I hunt around and find chitbox #3, and drag it home. But chitbox #3 has a caved in roof, so I grab chitbox #4, going out the gate, for it's roof. Two years go by, while I HotRod #1. Number 2 chitbox is languishing, but I'm gonna fix it up one day........ I drag chitboxes 3 and 4 into the back-40, but fail to elevate them off the dirt; but I'll be back later to do it, ..... right....
Fast forward to 2020 and chitboxes 3 and 4 have been attacked by wildlife, and now are totally junk. And chitbox #2, while 3 ft in the air is just slowly raining red dust down to the dirt. And chitbox #1, the driver, is also being reclaimed by nature.
Anybody out there want my chitboxes? Call 555-chitboxs, lets talk.

I took my kid looking for a car. We go to the Toyota lot since that's what she wanted. I told the salesman dont be getting eyes for my 94 silverado, I'm taking it with me when I leave here, but my kid is in the market for a used foreign shitbox. I suppose one foreign shitbox is as good as the next. So whatcha got in the way of 4 cylinder foreign shitboxes? He showed us a nice used 6 year old Corolla and she liked it and bought it. Guy prob thought I was nuts, but I hate dealing with car salesmen.

Like I said before if the man wears penny loafers to work not to be trusted until they prove it.

The problem with shitboxes is. We run out of garage space, driveway space, backyard space, side of house space. Then your wife finally gets pissed and say's no more Shitboxes.

For me not a problem have lots of space for my recollection of a wreck collection. It’s just to bad that I don’t have the time or money to do anything about them so sad fact is one day I will have to call mandax the shredder for the steel mill to haul my parts dept. away

If the parts are for classic cars don't crush them. Guys will pay big bucks for original equipment. Advertise them and make some money

Ahoey Get em up on plywood, wrapped in tarps etc. Something to keep the moisture out. Dont want critters making your parts cars into tenement houses? No problem. Hit the dollar store for boxes of moth balls punch a couple holes in each box pitch a box in each interior and in each trunk, and one under the hood. Keeps the mice and anything else creepy crawly away. This is a small preventative action to keep your parts cars from deterioration to where they are shred fodder

The ones I need for my dart are taken care of but there are other good projects out there. Had them on kijji and other web sites. No response so When scrap hits 200 bucks a ton again.
