2 step with a 4 speed

My 2 step is set for 4800 and 7200 on the high side. I know the line lock activates the low side. I’m not sure if I have to use the line lock for launch. There is a switch on clutch pedal to start car but it’s not wired to trans as a neutral safety. So I need to trace it.

If your 2 step is activated by the line lock but is controlled by the switch on the clutch pedal that’s fine.

How you “arm” it isn’t nearly as important as making it work off the pedal.

And FWIW, the 2 step should be OFF as soon as your foot moves. You want the air gap between the disc and the pressure plate to be as much as it can be when the 2 step goes off.

If you have the 2 step on with the clutch loading the engine it drags the engine too far down and the clutch gets blamed.
