My name is Frank Castros and I reside in Charleston South Carolina after relocating here six years ago from Stamford Connecticut.
I've been a Mopar enthusiast since I watched Richard Petty win the 1964 Daytona 500 on ABC's Wide World of Sports at age ten.
My father was also a Mopar guy and when I was 15 he bought a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner 383 4 speed brand new and I got into all kinds of trouble with that car when I got my drivers license.
My first dragstrip pass was at Dover Dragstrip and then New York National Speedway. Also lots of Street Racing in my home town of Stamford.
After attending the 1974 NHRA Summernationals at Englishtown New Jersey I was determined to race either a Super Stock or Stock Eliminator car and after helping a friend race his SS/EA '67 Corvette for two years and another friends SS/BA '64 Dodge Hemi car I purchased a '64 Plymouth Belvedere 426 Max Wedge from a racer from Long Island New York.
We raced in A and B/SA for almost ten years with good results until my kids became school aged and I want them to play sports instead of hanging out at the track every weekend. It turned out to a very good decision and after the car sat in my garage for several years I sold it to John Shaul on Max Wedge fame.
When moved to Charleston I was going to buy another car, either a street or Stock Eliminator car but we bought a boat and if you're familiar with Charleston you understand why. It has been a great experience.
But now I want to buy an A-body car as I always wanted one, specifically a '65 or '66 Plymouth Valiant V100 2 door sedan with either a Slant Six or 273.
I'm also a long time member of ClassRacer.com and Moparts.com.

Welcome aboard. Good luck finding your car. Post an ad in our WANTED section. Describe exactly what you want, and how flexible you might be on other models.

Welcome to FABO Frank. Glad you found us!

As a recruiting district manager I visited Stamford a bunch of times. Charleston is much nice IMHO. Certainly no snow!!

Keep looking, I'm sure you'll find your next Mopar.

Welcome to the site, great story.
You'll probably find the car you want on here if you are patient.
Do you have any pics of the cars in your past to share?
I for one would love to see them.........
