Hi Gang, I have made some fasteners for hard to reach Dart trim. The trim in question are the simulated exhaust ports on the fenders and doors of the GTs. Not sure what is original. If someone knows Please chime in. I have made some nylon (tough cable tie material) press in style nuts that make R&R of trim easy. Once the door panels are off these can be snapped in (Krazy Glue too). They are stronger if installed from the inside but the hole on the fender near the door will not allow that. All six could be pressed in from the outside but I had the door panels off already. They are tapped for helicoils. After pressing in place I installed the short helicoils. Now there is a metal thread. That one place where the nut was installed from the outside required a mod to the trim. I milled down a boss on the backside about 1/16". Finally I used tamper proof flatheads to mount the trim. KG

Correction... Need to re-design for lower profile because want to install from inside where possible without modifying trim (bad). Learning on the fly here. KG

Chrysler used a version of a nut sert and bolt. Ulf @65dartcharger sent me a couple of pics of the correct parts (which I cannot find). I will be using regular nut serts into the sheet metal and securing the trim with stainless steel oval head machine bolts
