Originally I was going to do bent Half inch electrical conduit as seen in the first picture. Then I contemplated doing the traditional trick of reversing the wheel opening from a pair of front fenders. I finally decided to go with these 55 to 57 Chevy gasser patch panels from eBay. It took a bunch of metal work to be able to use them but I like the lip in comparison to the lip on the front fenders. I felt that the front fender openings being used on the back did not give me a large enough wheel opening for the size tires I wanted to use .
