I'll probably get in hot water over this, but it's my opinion & the last I heard we still had FREEDOM of speech.

I see threads moved for whatever reason by the moderators, i.e. to the Political Forum. There is no explanation, nor reason it was moved. Who is to say that the comment wasn't of a political nature & the moderator took it of of the context that it was meant.

There are discussions on here that I do not necessarily agree with, but it is my option to read it, or not. Again, in my opinion, the "POLITICAL CORRECTNESS" has gotten way out of hand. If a thread is moved, take the time to say "Moved to whatever forum". That way the people here know that the post was not just wholesale deleted & they don't get their "feelings" hurt!

If a thread is political in nature it may get moved. If other members report a thread having political, religious, sexual content, or the like it may get moved at our discretion. We try our best to keep these forums the best on the internet. Thanks

I just moved one this morning, it was started this morning by a member of ten years, he knew better, and I did make a reply before I moved it as to where it was going..... i love this car site, i understand the rules here as well and glad to follow rules and not complain.

From the title, I originally thought this thread was going to be about tips and tricks to use when packing and moving to a new home.... :BangHead:

I bet that if you ask to have access to the political forum they will give it to you. Then you will be able to see where all the disappearing threads go.

If the moderators move this thread into the bowels, it could be re-titled as "Bowel Movement"....

read and understand the rules before you start a thread and you will avoid these "issues"
access to N&P is as simple as agreeing to the terms and a couple of clicks, you have control of your permissions
Also, IIRC ~ if a thread you create gets moved, you automatically get a notification

and no, you're fine ~ we DO have freedom of speech so your water temp isn't about to change

memike, as I said "At least say the thread was moved & to where". I have no problem reading & obeying the rules, I never have. But at least say "Thread moved to what forum".

I've started a thread that was later moved to N & P. It wasn't started as a political post but I guess it turned political enough to get moved. No harm, no foul. If it helps keep the peace, I'm good with it.

I’ve seen too many times a person starts a thread to have it up ended by someone adding in some political or religious stuff which doesn’t pertain to what the op intended. It then turns into an argument.
This happens sometimes by people who’ve been on here long enough to know the rules.
If you want to talk about these things
join the political forum on the site.
That’s what its for. Don’t screw up someone thread.
The mods have a job to do and I applaud them for the good job they do!

And maybe they probably should pm the person whose thread was moved and let them know why and were it was moved to.

This is EXACTLY what I was trying to get across to the moderators, a simple PM to the OP would explain why the post was moved, & where is was moved to. Thank you norshorblufish.

"And maybe they probably should pm the person whose thread was moved and let them know why and were it was moved to."

I moved this thread and sent Demonracer a pm.

The choice for us in those circumstances is to either delete a bunch of posts or move the thread --
