What years were these in use, and in what vehicle.
I just dug one out of my stash.
I didn't know they had such a thing.
Its a Mopar distributor

Lean burn. They have no mechanical advance.
 
It figures it would be something like that.
I don't even know how you would hitch it up.
Can it be converted to single pickup.

I used one on my dirt car a cheating way to have traction control when needed
 
Possibly a good way to incorporate a start retard if the timing is set locked out.
 
As I remember someone looked into this and there are rotor phasing problems. Bear in mind these were designed to work with electronic spark control
 
Factory installed in my 88 Ram D350 360 4 bbl..It has both Vac and mechanical advance.
Yes you can run single pickup.I did when mine failed.
 
You can have another one because I took it off my 77 400 lean burn Cordoba to go with conventional distributor.
