"for the truck guy"
but no mention of payload, towing capacity or bed size

Guys looking for a truck like that only care about 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, with that power being sent to all four wheels by means of an 8-speed automatic transmission and an full-time four-wheel-drive system. This drivetrain setup affords the TRX an official 0 to 60 time of 4.5 seconds with an official quarter mile time of 12.9 seconds.

I'm a truck guy and I have two, but nothing new.... :D

No thanks when it comes to truck I own nothing but Fords!!!

same here...but only because the price was right (and i couldnt find a hemi truck that would do what i wanted, for the price i wanted to pay

im kinda miffed though, that my 05 f350 didnt come with a limited slip
as long as i had it, all i did was spin one wheel...which is no good because i bought it as a plow truck

so, i finally called a local diesel shop to have them install a LSD
they were pretty surprised it didnt come with one either, being a "super duty" and all
then we ran some numbers, and it turns out it DOES have a LSD in it, it is just dead
i guess the clutches burned out
i wouldnt mind if this was a high mileage truck, but its barely got a quarter million on it

Wish they could’ve put that powerful combo in a light weight dakota. Guess i’ll just have to stick with my 2003 dakota 3.9 v6 with 354,000 miles and still getting 20 mpg as my daily driver

A 2020 truck with 16000 miles on it...
You would definitely think that would be a free warranty deal...

sure but what a hassle
im guessing if you buy a brand new truck, you kinda need it
and for it to be down a half a week to get a transmission replaced, even if its done under warranty, it will end up costing you money

That could be some massive bad luck! Would you now believe that every 2020 Dodge truck that comes off the assembly line will have its tranny drop in 16000 miles?...

FYI I just did a meet-and-greet with a 72 Ford highboy.. over the next few months were fixing to do a mechanical restoration on it... It looks like a real fun project. I really like the older Fords...

no, but i dont care about EVERY truck, i care about mine
and i will say i have had to replace more transmissions in mopars then any other manufacturer

I guarantee you that there are Fords, Chevys, Toyotas and all other brands that have had issues like this "shitbox." It's man made and man assembled, of course it can have issues.

I didn't ask if you cared about every truck except for your own LOL... I don't know how you came up with that out of what I said...
And I'm sorry about your luck with Mopar tranny's...

i inferred that from here

sure, i dont expect ALL of them to have issues, but it becomes a moot point...because i need to have faith in MY truck

in fact, i once had a GMC acadia
that truck was soo bad, i wont buy another chevy for a LONG time

so it does cast a manufacturer into a bad light

and ive come to expect it from the mopars
the charger is the ONLY mopar i have that owned that is on its first transmission, but its only at 135K

WRER did I say that you need to "CARE" about somebody else's rig?.

Go to any manufacture's service center. You'll see new Fords, Chivies, GMC's, Toyotas, Hondas, and Dodges all on the racks being serviced. Some minor, some major. The 8 speed Dodge transmission is highly reputable and most prefer it. Stands up to 707 HP in a Hellcat, and will pull a 10,000 lbs trailer across the country with a 6.4 Hemi in front of it.

Ask Jadaharabi about all the work he's put into his Ford F350 in 2020. I'm guessing it spent more time in the shop than at his house????
