452 heads Ported by Robert Landy of DLI.

Hello what I have here is a rebuilt set of ported “452” heads with oversized Stainless Steel valves. These heads were given a porting job similar to the Mopar Performance porting temples specs and was done by Robert Landy (Dick Landy son).

First these heads were decked .040 and that gave a combustion chamber down around 76cc. The intake face was also shaved so there will be no problems with intake fitment. New bronze valve guides were installed and The valve guide boss was cut down to except PC valve seals. This modification would also allow double springs. Mopar Performance 2.14 and 1.81 Stainless Steet valves were installed. Then came the porting job. Nothing over the top just cleaned up and open up to let the oversized valves work. These heads were never put on a flow bench but my 20 years of cylinder head experience tells me that these heads will feed a 465 to 485+hp engine with no problems. Valves were then “lapped in” and you can see the nice pattern left in the dykem. The heads were then assembled using Driven assembly grease. New Comp Cams #911-16 valve spring, 10 degree locks and Comp Cam valve spring cups were then installed. Valve springs have a seat pressure around 135lbs and a open pressure of 309@1.400 lift. These springs will work with a cam up to a .525ish lift.

These heads will work perfectly on a wormed over 383 or 440 up to 485hp and will also feed a 500ci. stroker motor. Anything over that just but a new set of aluminum heads LOL!! If your building a restored car with a wormed over engine, these would be perfect for you, stock looks with good performance. What else could you ask for!!

Thanks for reading, Troy

:BangHead: wish I didn't just buy a set of ported 516's with 915 valves.
These would have been perfect :(

hi, any idea on shipping costs to 34249? thanks

I don’t think you could get any further away from me. Lol!! Shipping from me to you is $230.00

Thanks for asking.

What kind of valve job done?

Hello. I believe it’s a three angle and then I lapped them in. A little wide on the seat but they sealed well.
Thanks for asking. Troy

Shipping to 55940? Thank you

Hello and thanks for asking. These heads weigh 55lbs and the box would be 24” x 10” x 10” that comes to $120 each. There too heavy to ship together.

Shipped two sets of heads small block Mopar heads from Oceanside California to Illinois for $26 a box. One head in each box u.s. Postal Service special flat rate game board boxes. Removed the valves and springs and put them in a separate medium flat-rate box and that cost I believe it was $16 a box.
You really want to protect the heads but they fit in the Box fill in the empty space so that they don't slide around Inside the Box.

None of the 4 heads were damaged in shipping.

“Flat rate game board box”? I have never heard of those before. My post office only offers 4 sizes of flat rate boxes and none of them would fit a cylinder head, big block or small block.
Thanks for the reply. Troy

Nice set of heads. You can order different flat rate boxes from post office online, I believe they send them free of charge. Good luck with sale.

I’ll look into that right now, thank you very much!

You have to order them off the post office site. They're free.
