So my daily driven dart has a radio block off plate and has never had any kind of music or radio capabilities.

So my friend was riding along with me one day and asked if I would ever get a stereo and woofer installed. I said absolutley not because I'm not going to modify a dart with new technology.

So she gave a retro boom box and these things are cool. They look like the old ones of the 80s but have a USB and memory card port.

They sound great and some play cassette tapes but I don't have any of those.

So 5 minutes of jamming just converted my quiet dart into a party panzer. Needs a lot more bass but it's a great start. I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm listening to classical in there.

My brat did the same in Charlie (the Swinger). He had a functional AM in place, but AM radio round here is questionable at best. I offered to finance a trunk mounted remote control unit, she would have no part of it. She wanted the ghetto blaster. Charlie went to radio balancing school to conform to his new duty.

That's very cool! I thought just like you until I started driving Vixen around. Then I decided to upgrade her with a modern sound system. I'm glad I did it.

remarketing old garbage
some of the cheapest speakers and internals of any Electronics out there.

But music is music as long as you can hear it. I put in 1000 watt system in my Valiant so I can hear it over the exhaust. Later on I put a thousand watt system in my truck so I don't have to hear other people's rap music and fart cans over my own tunes.

I've been contemplating picking up a Bluetooth standalone speaker, they're pretty reasonably priced from what I've seen lately, just don't know how well they work. I generally listen to music on my phone through the Bluetooth connection with the system in my Bronco. I'm at the point where I just don't feel like putting another system in my Dart, I had one in my Ventura, but took it out a couple years ago and put it in my wife's daily, so it now has only a non functional am radio, same as my Dart.

What, no auto-reverse, that’s cheap! How many D cells does it take:p

I rocked something like that in the 80’s playing the Tubes!

Check out the Flip 5 from JBL. Small, powerful, and sound quality (including bass) hard to believe from such a little speaker.

Absolutely, like they don't need sunvisors or wipers, headlights or seatbelts...that ***** for pussies. "Umph umph me make fire now and drag wife ***** by hair back to cave for nookie"
All u can listen to hear is rap/ new age bullshit ...and I dont have seat belts either ....so maybe u should update like so....the wheels are so now......
So I will stay old skool.....

Does it have native 12v power?

Radio Delete is cool all on its own.

Good clean look, no commercials every 2 minutes. No antenna sticking up when washing your car, or stretching a car cover over it.

Have fun with what you got . . . want tunes crank them up.

Reminds me when a pickup flipped upside down going 80 mph down the gravel road, Drunk in the road ditch, radio still just a blasting. Fire Department/Rescue cut the battery cables.

Cut the cables, Boom Box still blasting out the tunes. Lol . .

Boxes? I like boxes ~ on foxes, and chicks in just sockes, obnoxious ruckus raucous rocks-us and rolls-us
