Is my driveshaft to short? My Yoke measures 8in from center line to end of yoke.

Where do the splines start on the inside of the yoke ?
Do they start right at the end, or do they start an inch or so down inside ?

That is a common fear among most of us. Truth is most are more than adequate. But as far as your car, yes it appears about a1” shy.

Not enough information.

Car jacked up with tires off the ground?

If so, how?

Application?

Center line measurement of the shaft yokes?

I would have liked it a bit more engaged into the trans.

Having said that, - if it were. MY car, I would try it , expecting a possible vibration .
Another type of rear trans seal has a dust boot that sticks out about an inch beyond, and you got about an inch more than usual - hanging out .

That's just for me , jmo

You know that's right about the seal. If you look closely the markings on the slip yoke could be showing that type of seal wear.

Ok, also I cant put the yoke all the way up flush with the end of the tailshaft. It stops 1in away from tailshaft.

U r good. When the seal without the dust boot is used that’s how it is. If it bothers u get a seal with the dust boot and install it. Kim

Actually, do you have a place locally that does driveshafts? Probably a truck drivetrain shop. Ask their driveshaft specialist.

If you can only push the driveshaft in another inch from your picture, then you should be fine. You need some play there.

I have seen worse...trust me...you are fine
