A little side project. (70 Dart)

Well...tomorrow should be it....i need to spray the bottoms of the doors on the inside since, I didn't realize the bottoms are supposed to be body color and the tops are black since it has black interior. The door handles and side marker lights are on backorder so, whenever they show up I will put those in for him and, he is going to have to track down some trim pieces he is missing but, other than that I'm done!!!

I think the black accents help add a lot of dimension to the lines, and I can imagine the stance with the rest of the driver line. Awesome job! Expect a bunch of calls after posting this beautiful ride. Excellent work.

Thanks!!! Not a big fan of A4 silver but, he wanted this color. With the black stripe and scoops it breaks it up some...
 
Today was the day!! So long!!! Off to my friends house where the drivetrain will go back in then, back to the owner.

Motor is in but not wired up and running yet. Waiting on a new transmission mount. Door handles, rear side markers and, the hood emblem showed up so put those in.

From what i have learned, the bottoms will be body color and tops black if it has black interior. If the interior is any other color then the tops and bottoms are interior color.

A nice looking job and quick turnaround. My doors are black top and bottom, the door weatherstripping separates the colours.

Engine is in and running. Needs a few things but, should be going back to its owner this week.

In my experiences during numerous restorations over 3 decades it’s always been the way the colours are broke up.
 
Just waiting on front marker lights to show up...owner should be coming to get it...

A4 Platinum Metallic is a nice rare colour. Light conditions sure changes it's appearance.
