Can anyone advise if this fits on a 1971 Demon? Found it in the trunk of my project when I bought it. BTW......What is it?

I am not positive, but it looks like the shield that is on the driver side frame below the starter.

yep bolts to the bottom of the frame rail.

It keeps water, snow, mud etc. from being splashed up onto the starter and transmission linkage........
